Born into a family of artists in
Zielonka, Poland in 1950, he immigrated to Canada in 1978. Leszek
received his first artistic training at an early age from his father.
His formal education was obtained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw,
Poland and in Canada at the Ontario College of Art. He has traveled
through Asia and Europe and has exhibited in one-man and group shows in
Austria, Canada, Great Britain, Poland, Sweden and the United States.
Leszek Wyczokowski's works appear in public and private collections in
Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece,
Hungary, Italy, Poland, Sweden and the United States. Leszek
Wyczolkowski is living and working in Toronto, Canada.
"I want my work to serve the
contemplation which is so necessary to a person, in order to discover
one's own self and one's own link with the world. I like to Maintain a
dialogue with the viewer. I never give an answer, I let the reaction
depend on who sees it."
